By installing "GalvaShield FUSION," a high-density cathodic protection current supplied from the built-in battery first inactivates rebar corrosion, and then it automatically transitions to the sacrificial anode system, maintaining high corrosion protection performance and a long-term protective environment. "GalvaShield FUSION," like other GalvaShield products, is formed with a highly alkaline backfill material. The long-term corrosion protection performance of the sacrificial anode material is significantly influenced not only by the amount of zinc but also by the quality of the backfill material (zinc accelerators) concerning the rebar (free of chlorides and bromides), which plays a very important role.
